The Third Frontier Internship Program provides employers with assistance to hire students for training in high technology fields. The goal of the Ohio Third Frontier Internship Program is to develop a pool of talented workers for Ohio's businesses, create enriching student work experiences, and assist students in obtaining permanent full-time employment in Ohio after graduation.
The program will pay half of an intern's salary up to $3,000, for internships in the following fields:
- Advanced manufacturing
- Advanced materials
- Information technology
- Instruments, controls and electronics
- Bioscience and
- Power and propulsion.
Students in science, technology, math and engineering fields up to the Ph.D. level are eligible to participate in the program. Businesses interested in offering an internship through the Third Frontier Internship Program can apply online here.
