In recognition of National Small Business Week, the Clermont County Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 23 through May 29 as Small Business Week in Clermont County. Five Clermont companies were recognized with certificates of appreciation at the Commissioners' regular session on May 23. John Melvin, Director of the Small Business Development Center, accepted the proclamation on behalf of all small businesses. "It has been my pleasure over the last 10 years to work with small businesses to help them develop, learn, and succeed."
Businesses recognized were ProMaster Remodeling & Home Repair, Innerwood & Company, Paxico, Penn Station, and Mil Air. Each company was given an opportunity to say a few words and one common theme was said among them - Clermont County is a great place to do business.
