Gutter Toppers recently moved into a new manufacturing facility financed in part with an Industrial Revenue Bond through the Clermont County CIC. Click here to watch an interview with company founder Tony Iannelli as he describes why he selected Clermont County as the location for his growing business.
"I never dreamed that my company would take off like it has," said Tony Iannelli, Sr., president of Gutter Covers International. "Only ten years ago I had one employee and was running the business in a one room office; today we have 22 employees and operate from a 43,000 square foot complex!"
From first year sales of $68,000 to $10 million in sales for 2006, Iannelli projects that in the next five years his workforce and profits will triple. "We’ve become an international company that has dealers and distributors across the United States, Serbia, England, and is working on entering the market in South Africa.
Located on Founders Boulevard in Batavia Township, the company manufactures various versions of Gutter Topper, a self-cleaning metal or aluminum cover system that installs over existing gutters to prevent anything but water from collecting in gutter troughs.
"Every year there are 175,000 ladder falls at homes across this country," said Iannelli. "We keep homeowners safe and off the roof." His company also provides a large number of businesses with the gutter toppers that come in a wide range of colors and are shipped within 24 hours of the order coming in.
Iannelli doesn’t have to go far to draw inspiration for his future inventions. "I just look out my office window and watch the deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife that roam the beautiful wooded grounds that surround my office and warehouse complex." He says that companies that fly in to do business with Gutter Covers International are often surprised at how close his business is to the airport and major highways and are amazed that it is located in such a beautiful setting.
"I would encourage other companies that are interested in relocating to strongly consider Clermont County," said Iannelli. "This is a progressive, aggressive county that is business friendly."
