October was Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Auxier Gas in Batavia Township went the extra mile to support this cause. Auxier joined forces with the American Breast Cancer Foundation and in March 2008, Auxier unveiled its "Pink Ribbon" propane delivery truck. "We all know someone who has been adversely affected by breast cancer and we wanted to help find a cure. We make a donation per gallon of propane delivered by our pink truck," says President, Doug Auxier.
Since the unveiling, Auxier has delivered 755,752 gallons of propane via the pink truck across the Tri-State area and has donated almost $8,000 to the Foundation. The truck is a means to encourage awareness and Auxier supports the early detection of and screening for breast cancer. Customers are also given the opportunity to donate to the Foundation by adding an amount to their bill or sending a separate donation to Auxier Gas.
