At a celebration event on November 5th, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the company has hired its 300th employee at its Miami Township campus.
Over the last several months, more than 225 associates have joined TCS from top universities throughout the United States. On hiring local talent,TCS North America President Surya Kant said, "The Cincinnati region is a great place for us to recruit and train local talent to meet the demands of our customers as they grow out of the downturn. The strong partnerships we continue to have with the greater Cincinnati academic community, including the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University, ensure that we will continue to find skilled professionals in this region."
The event, attended by TCS' CEO Mr. Chandrasekaran, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, along with other state and local officials, showcased the diverse workforce at TCS, where the average employee age is 24. After completing a rigorous training program, many of the newly hired associates are now developing custom IT solutions for the government and healthcare sectors.
TCS' North America Delivery Center provides a wide range of IT solutions, consulting, business process outsourcing and engineering services for customers across industries including banking and financial services, life sciences and healthcare, as well as manufacturing and retail.
