In August, Freeman Schwabe Machinery purchased and renovated a Union Township manufacturing facility, moving from a leased space in northern Kentucky. On October 3rd, the building was dedicated in front of family, friends, business community members, and employees.
Freeman Schwabe is a high-tech manufacturer, making machinery for the industrial die-cutting and plastic card industries and provides parts and service for more than 12,000 of its machines worldwide. Its machines are used to create a wide variety of products used by people everyday. Freeman Schwabe's customers include General Electric, Goodyear, Firestone, Johnson Controls, and Kodak. The firm has grown dramatically since a management-led buyout in 2006. Its growth - 100% from 2006 to 2007 and another 35% so far in 2008 - required a larger plant. Additionally, international sales are expanding, with markets being established in China and eastern Europe. Visit www.freemanschwabe.com for more information about the company and its products.
