It is important to the Office of Economic Development (OED) to remain on the cutting edge of technology when we know it can help our current and future Clermont companies. For five years, Clermont County has provided an online available land and building database for commercial properties. This tool is excellent for companies looking to expand or locate in Clermont County.
In addition to assisting companies in finding appropriate land or buildings, OED strives to match local companies with local suppliers. Why use an out of state supplier, when that same part or service is available five miles away from a small business owner in your community? Over the past 18 months through our Business Retention program, OED staff has played matchmaker for several Clermont companies to find Clermont suppliers.
So how does a commercial property database and a supply chain database come together? Through Clermont InSite.
Companies can now choose either the Properties or Companies tab at the top of the page. For property searches, criteria include square footage available, price limits, ceiling heights, rail service feasibility, etc. The supply chain component includes industry name and NAICS code search capabilities. Future capabilities will include keyword and community searches.
Updates to the available data is a continual process. If you notice your company information is not current, please send an email to Adele Evans at jaevans@co.clermont.oh.us. Additionally, if you have a logo, building, or product image you would like added to your company profile, please send Adele a jpeg formatted file and OED will upload it.
Look for additional updates on this valuable tool via our web site, Facebook fan page, and future editions of the E-news.
