HealthSource of Ohio, headquartered in Miami Township, provides healthcare in five counties of Southwest Ohio. The organization recently announced an innovative collaboration with AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. The new medical school will use an innovative curriculum to train physicians. Students will be hosted at HealthSource's "Community Campus" during the second, third, and fourth year of medical school. The purpose of this training program is to help address the future shortage of physicians in our region, particularly in rural areas. HealthSource President and CEO Kim Patton said, "We look forward to helping educate the next generation of community-minded physicians...By bringing these students to HealthSource, we will get them connected with our community, our local health care system, and our community health center." The first cohort of students begins its studies this summer. To learn more about the program, visit HealthSource of Ohio's website.
