On Thursday, September 20, the US Department of Commerce will host its Second Annual International Trade Conference in Cincinnati. This year's theme is "ASEAN and Its Impact on US Companies." The conference will focus on the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries, with special emphasis on doing business in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Vietnam.
The agenda will include presentations on prospects for US companies doing business in the region as well as information on the business climates in each specific nation. The keynote address will be delivered by Barbara Weisel, the Assistant US Trade Representative. Other speakers will include Commercial Specialists from the region, Xavier University faculty, and representatives from businesses including Michelman, Ampac, and Ferno Washington.
