Key Resin company recently announced plans to construct a new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Union Township. The company has outgrown its current leased building on Clough Woods Drive and broke ground this month on a new 36,000 SF facility at the end of the street. Key Resin manufactures specialized resinous and epoxy flooring systems for industrial as well as commercial and residential use.
Key Resin moved to its current headquarters in Union Township in 1997. The company manufactures its flooring systems here and also directs operations of its new Arizona manufacturing facility that serves the Western US and Mexico. The company's specialty product is an epoxy terrazzo matrix flooring system that is environmentally friendly, but also easy to handle, strong, and smooth. The company's floors can be seen locally at the Greater Cincinnati International Airport and University of Cincinnati sports facilities. Some of the company's strongest growth is coming in the residential market where it provides heavy-duty floors for garages and basements.
Key Resin currently has 24 employees and the planned expansion will allow it to add at least 6 more. The company is building its new facility with an eye toward future growth. The initial 36,000 SF building is expected to be complete by November of this year, but the site plan would eventually allow the company to double the building by adding another 36,000 SF. More information about the company is available at www.keyresin.com.
