The U.S. Department of Commerce and State of Ohio's International Trade Division are conducting a series of seminars to help American businesses expand into foreign markets. The next seminar focused on doing business in China and India will be held on January 25 in Athens, Ohio. On March 21, Clermont County will host a seminar on South America with a particular emphasis on Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. It will be held at the Park 50 Technical Center in Miami Township.
These seminars are designed to provide businesses with an overview of trade opportunities in emerging markets. The seminar on China and India will provide information on intellectual property rights protection, risk management, legal issues, and upcoming trade show opportunities.
The China and India seminar will be held at Ohio University's Innovation Center on January 25. Featured speakers include the Department of Commerce's China Officer Bill Lawton, China Trade Specialist Jim Mathews, and India Economist Abdul Shaikh.
