As announced in last month's e-newsletter, the Office of Economic Development in conjunction with the Cincinnati USA Partnership and the Clermont Chamber of Commerce will launch a business retention blitz in October. County and Chamber representatives will meet with area companies October 23 through October 27 to discuss their business needs and growth plans. Partnership, Clermont Chamber, and County representatives will then work with organizations to resolve any specific concerns identified during those meeting.
A strong business retention program is a core component of Clermont County's growth strategy. "The Board of County Commissioners recognizes that the vast majority of employment growth and capital investment in Clermont County comes from existing businesses," said Andy Kuchta, director of the Office of Economic Development. "Partnering with the Business Retention Committee allows us to communicate directly with more companies than we could individually and helps us identify areas where we can improve the county’s overall business climate." Over 200 local businesses received letters requesting a meeting and those meetings are now being scheduled.
If your company has not yet scheduled a meeting, please contact Jennifer Fedorov at (513) 732-7912 or jfedorov@co.clermont.oh.us.
