On September 13, Victory Industrial Products announced plans to build a 70,000 square foot facility on Clough Pike in Batavia Township. The company selected for its expansion an area near the Clermont County Airport that features some of Clermont County’s most attractive available property for industrial development. The company anticipates making an investment of over $3 million and adding 25 additional employees within the next three years.
Victory Industrial Products manufactures accessory equipment and custom enclosures for backup power generators. The company was launched by owners Dale and Bonnie Freeman in their Milford home 20 years ago. Dale Freeman began fabricating custom trailers for use by landscapers. The company began manufacturing enclosures for industrial power generators when it identified an unmet need in that market. Victory Industrial has since grown to 100 employees and now makes accessories and enclosures for industrial generators that supply back up power to large facilities such as malls, grocery stores, and sewage treatment plants.
Victory Industrial Products’ expansion will be assisted by a rural enterprise zone tax abatement approved by the Batavia Township Trustees and Clermont County Board of Commissioners. The rural enterprise zone program is designed to encourage investment and job creation in Clermont County. Victory Industrial will receive a 60 percent tax abatement for nine years on real property taxes for the new building construction. The company is expected to invest $3,200,000 to construct its new facility.
