The Board of Clermont County Commissioners has approved the purchase of 68.5 acres of prime commercial real estate on Ferguson Drive in Union Township. This purchase completes the county’s plan to develop an office park on 100 acres at the southeast corner of I-275 and State Route 32. The Class A business park will be called the Offices at Ivy Pointe.
The Board also approved the transfer of 30 acres to the County’s Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). The CIC has a contract with Cincinnati United Contractors (CUC) to develop the office park. CUC has begun preparing the land for construction and the County expects a formal announcement of Ivy Pointe’s first major tenant within the month.
"We're very excited to finally see our plans become reality with the Ivy Pointe development," said Clermont Commission President Mary Walker. "This is a great location for new businesses to develop. Through this business growth, we will be able to help spread the responsibilities of government and schools to more than just property owners."
"These actions by the Board are part of a series of planned actions, in cooperation with Union Township Trustees, the Clermont County Engineer, and CUC to initiate the development of the Offices at Ivy Pointe," said Clermont County Administrator David L. Spinney. "This is the first of many activities designed to implement the Board's aggressive economic development strategy."
Development of the site will also include significant infrastructure improvements in the area. This spring, the County Engineer will begin construction of Ivy Pointe Boulevard to connect Clough Pike and Aicholtz Road. Ivy Pointe Boulevard will replace Ferguson Drive with a longer, wider street that will improve access to the Offices at Ivy Pointe.
