Slice of Stainless recently announced that it will add 21,000 square feet and nine new jobs at its existing facility located at 1015 Seabrook Way in Union Township. Founded in 1992, Todd Reed and Robin Tackett started their business in a small two-bedroom home in Cincinnati. The company built its current 15,000 SF facility in 2003 and has 13 full-time employees.
The company has grown around the specialty of processing small quantities of stainless steel sheared to exact specifications and shipped on demand without expensive minimum charges. With 16 different grades of specialty stainless steel, four different grades of high temperature nickel alloys, and thicknesses from .012 to .250, Slice of Stainless can fulfill almost any company's steel needs.
With a strong existing customer base in the medical, aerospace, and military industries, the new expansion will involve the purchase of a cut-to-length line. This equipment will enable the company to purchase large coils of stainless steel, and will increase the size of steel offered as well as reduce prices.
